Rescuers show drone strike on high-rise during Russian assault on Kyiv (photos)
The State Emergency Service has released images of a high-rise building in Kyiv struck by a Russian drone on July 8.

Russian forces launched a drone strike on a residential building in Kyiv's Desnianskyi district, damaging the upper floors of the structure and injuring a child. Rescuers have provided footage from the scene.
The details were reported by the State Emergency Service (SES) of Ukraine.

According to rescue teams, the impact triggered a fire in one of the non-residential spaces inside the high-rise. The blaze covered an area of 20 square meters.
During the emergency response, SES personnel evacuated a child from the building who had sustained lacerations. Once outside, the child was immediately handed over to a medical crew for treatment.
Rescuers, police and other emergency services continue working at the scene to deal with the aftermath of the strike.
