Worst destruction since the war began: Svyrydenko reveals shocking scale of overnight strike on Vyshneve

The strike on July 6 caused the most severe destruction to the residential sector in Vyshneve, near Kyiv, since the beginning of Russia's full-scale invasion.

Ukraine’s First Vice Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko announced the scale of the damage.

"Russia's overnight attack on Vyshneve in the Kyiv region caused the most extensive destruction to the residential sector since the start of the full-scale invasion. Thirteen hectares of residential areas have been damaged,” she stated.

According to Svyrydenko, given the scale of the devastation, the government will allocate funds from the state reserve fund to assist the community, specifically for restoring housing damaged by the Russian strike.

Since early morning, emergency assistance centers have been operating across the town, where residents can receive food, drinking water, other essential aid and guidance on applying for compensation. A total of 500 State Emergency Service rescuers and more than 400 police officers are working on-site.
