Russian attack on Kyiv: How many buildings remain without heating

Heating restoration work is ongoing in Kyiv following a Russian strike on energy infrastructure on February 12. About 100 residential buildings remain without heat.

According to him, a total of 2,600 apartment buildings lost heating as a result of the strike, but in most of them, heat supply has already been restored.

«Approximately 100 buildings are still without heat — out of the 2,600 apartments affected by the enemy’s strike on the city’s infrastructure on February 12. Utilities have restored heat to 2,500 buildings and continue working to bring heat back to the others, ” Klitschko said.

The mayor also notes that the city’s heating problems are not limited to the latest strike. After previous attacks in the Dniprovskiy and Darnytskyi districts, over 1,100 buildings remain without heat.

«In these buildings, supplying heat is currently impossible due to critical damage to the Darnytska CHPP, ” the mayor said.

City utilities continue emergency restoration efforts, but the timing for full heat restoration in some areas depends on the extent of damage to the energy infrastructure.
