Putin has no intention of hiding his plans from Trump: Portnikov on Russia’s strike on the Cabinet of Ministers
Each such attack is meant to convince us of the groundlessness of the American president’s fantasies, journalist Vitaliy Portnikov believes.
The only thing that continues to interest Putin is Ukraine’s surrender — Portnikov
Russia’s strike on the Cabinet of Ministers building in Kyiv demonstrates the Russian Federation’s absolute unwillingness even to consider ending the war or engaging in real peace negotiations.
Portnikov made this statement on his YouTube blog.
“Russia tried to strike the government quarter, thereby showing that Russian leader Putin’s threats to strike so-called "decision-making centers"are not mere talk, but the real intentions and plans of the Russian leadership for the further course of the Russian-Ukrainian war,” Portnikov said.
Of course, the strike on the government building and the deaths of civilians in Kyiv and other Ukrainian cities during this attack are incomparable.
Nevertheless, each time a government building is targeted, it demonstrates the Russian Federation’s absolute unwillingness to even think about ending the war or engaging in real peace negotiations between Russia and Ukraine.
“The only thing that continues to interest the Russian president is the capitulation of Ukraine and the disappearance of our state from the political maps of the world. Thus, Putin has no intention of hiding these intentions from U.S. President Donald Trump, who continues to indulge in groundless fantasies about Russia’s willingness to continue dialogue and seek ways to achieve peace in the Russian-Ukrainian war,” Portnikov explained.
